ABOUT ME

Anyone with a passion in life has the inherent desire to pursue it - and by embracing art as my full-time career, I hope to achieve and maintain that sense of fulfillment that I, and many others, have dreamed of. At 16, I attended my first anime convention as an artist, selling prints and buttons. Since then, I have continued to frequent as many conventions as it's been feasible for me to travel to, and have loved every minute spent selling and creating art for those who share my love for anime/comics and art itself. At 21, I am now fortunate enough to look back upon opportunities to design one of those conventions' apparel designs, create intricate character designs for an incredible investment firm's entire team, draw fan art for some of my favourite series, participate in and moderate four charity fanzines, and complete a wide variety of commissions - and I can only hope for more to come.

I'm Duchess Celestia (or Paige Mulder), and I'm a Canadian artist/illustrator based out of Alberta. My style is largely anime/comic-based and almost exclusively digital (created with Paint Tool SAI and Photoshop), although I intend to publish a collection of traditional, realistic art illustrating the struggles of trauma and mental illness in a way that both tells a story and allows the reader to interpret their own through it. Commissions are (selectively) open, and I hope to attend as many conventions and events as I can for the foreseeable future!
